The 10th Annual Eastern Cape Film Festival (ECFF) is officially calling all filmmakers, dreamers, and storytellers to showcase their cinematic magic in East London this December 2025!
Running from 1–6 December 2025, the prestigious festival promises six days of creativity, screenings, and industry networking — celebrating the best of African and international storytelling.
This year’s festival theme, “It all starts with a dream,” couldn’t be more fitting. Whether you’re a student filmmaker, documentary creator, or an animation visionary, this is your moment to shine on one of South Africa’s most inspiring stages.
What You Can Submit:
All genres are welcome!
- Short Films
- Student Films
- Documentaries
- Full-Length Features
- Animations
- Music Videos
Filmmakers must include:
- A synopsis
- A trailer
- A profile and pictures of the director and producer
- And mention if the film has been classified by the FPB
Submission Deadline:
The closing date for submissions is 30th September 2025 (Midnight) — so don’t wait till the last scene!
